Sebagaimana diketahui bersama, Sistem Manajemen Mutu ISO 9001 : 2008 adalah standar yang paling banyak diterapkan di seluruh dunia. Ini disebabkan karena sifatnya yang general dan fleksibel sehingga organisasi apapun dapat menerapkan sistem manajemen mutu ISO 9001:2008 dan juga karena ISO 9001:2008 adalah dasar atau langkah pertama sebelum menerapkan standar manajemen lainnya.
